In the month of May, I did manage to get some stitching done. However, I also moved - just about 45 minutes away from my previous home, but it still required packing and moving all of our belongings. Because everything is still in boxes (we've only been in the new house for a little over a week!) this is the only pic I have to share:
I promise next month I'll have pix of my actual stitching!

May Check-In Post
This month, I got 2 good weeks of stitching in, and then school work had to, once again, take priority. However, I did have something really awesome happen! My family and I are getting ready to move, so my hubby was cleaning out our storage unit and preparing to move all of our stuff to the new house (they are letting us use the garage at the new house even though we haven't moved in because it is currently vacant.) He brought in a box of stitching stuff that I had been trying to find for the last YEAR. It was like Christmas morning going through all of my stitchy stuff again, and most of my WIPs were in that box. Because of that awesome find, I am thinking about switching over which project I am working on. There are several that are calling my name.
But back to this month...
I participated in the Cross Stitch Crazy Stitchathon in mid-April and that helped motivate me a lot! The next stitchathon in next week, which is good news for me. Overall, I think I got a good chunk done. Here is the updated pic. It was taken at the end of the stitchathon, but I really haven't stitched a whole lot since then, so it's fairly accurate. Let me know what you all think!

April Check In Post
Another month has gone by, and it's time to check in for the WIPocalypse challenge!
This month, I continued plugging away at Celtic Summer. I didn't get as much stitching time as I would have liked, but I did get some done. Next week is our monthly "Stitchathon" of at the Cross Stitch Crazy board and I have plans to stitch like crazy during it!

March Check In Post
I am a little late checking in this month, but I have a good excuse. I was busy cruising the Atlantic on a Carnival Cruise (woot!) Now that I'm back, I can post my progress for the last month. I have gotten a lot done on Celtic Summer, though not as much as I'd hoped. Best of all, she finally has a head! Here she is:

WIPocalypse February Check In
It's that time again, time to check in for the WIPocalypse challenge! Again, I haven't done any work on Sweet Dreams or Under the Arbor of Love (so I won't bore you with pictures of them!) However, I have been rockin' and rollin' on Celtic Summer. Since the last WIPocalypse check in, which you can see here, I have spent more time stitching on Celtic Summer than I had spent stitching on ANYTHING in 2010! And that's just in one month! So, without further ado, here is my updated pic:

I've been sooooooo sick
On Wednesday, I came down with something icky. Not sure if it's a flu or just a terrible cold, or what, but it has totally kicked my butt. I haven't gone to work, I skipped the scrapbook retreat I was supposed to go to this weekend, I've honestly barely gotten up off the couch. The one thing I have done is stitch. It is so relaxing to turn on a movie or tv show and just stitch. In fact, I find it interesting that this is actually how I started stitched at 9 years old. My mom hired this babysitter, Donna (who was a retiree), to watch me when I was home sick from school because neither my mom or dad had sick leave that they could use when a kid was sick. Donna used to bring her cross stitching with her and she would stitch while I watched tv. Once I asked her if she could teach me, and the next time she came over (I was sick a lot), she brought a simple kit for me to try. I picked it up quickly, and have been stitching ever since!
Well, after 4 days on the sofa, here is where I am with Celtic Summer!

In awe of all of the amazing stitchers out there
I have been going through all of the blog updates for WIPocalypse, and I am absolutely in awe of many of these stitchers. Some of them have made an amazing amount of progress in 9 days! While going through them has affirmed and cemented my membership in the Slow Stitcher's Club, I love seeing all of the work being done.
